These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ritsu: Pomodoro Focus & Tasks ("Ritsu", "the app"), provided by Viodra Studios ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the App
Ritsu provides Pomodoro timer, focus, break timer, task, statistics, theme, sound, notification, and productivity tools. You may use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You are responsible for the tasks, labels, schedules, settings, and other content or information you create, enter, organize, or manage using the app.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to use the app under the laws that apply to you. If you are using the app on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
License
Subject to these Terms and applicable app store rules, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app for personal or internal business use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the app except where allowed by law or by open-source licenses that apply to included third-party components.
Your Content and Local Data
You keep ownership of the tasks, task page names, settings, and other information you create in Ritsu.
By using the app, you confirm that you have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to create, store, edit, or share any content you use with the app. You must not use Ritsu in a way that violates the rights of others, applicable law, or platform policies.
Ritsu stores app data locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for backing up any information that is important to you. Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, device failure, operating system behavior, or storage issues may delete local app data.
Timer, Notifications, and Background Behavior
Ritsu is designed to support Pomodoro and break timers, including notifications and background timer behavior where supported.
Timer accuracy, notification delivery, foreground service behavior, alarms, vibration, background execution, and timer recovery may vary depending on your device, operating system, permissions, battery settings, autostart settings, app state, storage state, and manufacturer-specific restrictions.
We do not guarantee that every timer, notification, alarm, or background event will fire exactly on time or remain available in every device state. Do not rely on Ritsu for emergencies, safety-critical tasks, medical needs, financial deadlines, legal deadlines, or any situation where a missed or delayed timer could cause harm.
Productivity and Wellness Disclaimer
Ritsu is a productivity and focus tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, educational, legal, financial, or professional advice.
Focus statistics, achievements, streaks, and productivity summaries are informational and motivational only. They may not be complete, accurate, or suitable for evaluating your health, work performance, academic performance, or any other professional outcome.
Purchases, Trials, Subscriptions, and Lifetime Access
Ritsu may offer free features, paid features, subscriptions, free trials, and lifetime purchases.
Purchases are handled by the applicable app store or payment provider, such as Google Play or the Apple App Store. The purchase screen and app store checkout show the current price, billing period, trial availability, renewal terms, taxes, and any other purchase details that apply to your transaction.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your app store account before the renewal deadline set by the store. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Free trials, introductory offers, refunds, cancellations, renewal rules, family sharing, and billing issues are controlled by the applicable store or payment provider unless the app clearly states otherwise. If these Terms conflict with the app store's payment, subscription, refund, or cancellation rules, the app store rules control for those topics.
Lifetime access, if offered, means access to the lifetime product or entitlement described in the app at the time of purchase. It does not guarantee that every current or future feature, platform, sound, background, theme, service, or third-party dependency will remain available forever.
Restore Purchases and Entitlements
Premium access may depend on app store records, RevenueCat entitlement status, device/platform availability, and your store account. You may need to use the app's restore purchase feature or the app store account that made the purchase to recover access.
Ads and Rewarded Ads
Ritsu may show ads, including banner, interstitial, app open, native, and rewarded ads. Ad availability, frequency, format, and content may vary by region, device, eligibility, consent choices, and third-party ad network behavior.
Rewarded ads, if offered, grant the in-app benefit described in the app only after the ad network confirms completion. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be unavailable if an ad fails to load, is skipped, is not completed, or is rejected by the ad network.
You must not manipulate ad delivery, simulate ad views, use automated tools to generate ad interactions, or otherwise abuse ad or reward systems.
Notifications
Ritsu may use notifications for focus timers, break timers, session completion alerts, foreground timer status, push messages, and other timer-related reminders. Notification delivery is not guaranteed and may depend on your device, operating system, app settings, notification permission, alarm permission, battery settings, manufacturer restrictions, and network conditions.
You can change notification permissions in your device settings.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or unauthorized purposes.
- Violate privacy, publicity, intellectual property, contractual, or other rights of others.
- Store, organize, or share content without required rights or consent.
- Use the app to harass, defame, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or mislead others.
- Interfere with, damage, overload, disable, or misuse the app, its systems, ads, purchases, notifications, or related services.
- Circumvent paywalls, entitlement checks, ads, rate limits, permissions, security features, or technical restrictions.
- Use automated systems, scraping, tampering, emulators, modified clients, or other tools to abuse the app or related services.
Third-Party Services
Ritsu may interact with third-party services, SDKs, platforms, and destinations, including app stores, Google Play, Apple App Store, Firebase, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, notification systems, browser/email actions, app review prompts, device settings, and payment providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party apps, websites, stores, SDKs, payment providers, storage providers, ad networks, notification systems, or other third-party services.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Ritsu handles information. By using the app, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
Ritsu, including its software, design, interface, branding, text, graphics, icons, sounds, videos, animations, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app or our intellectual property to you.
Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. We may also change features, pricing, supported platforms, supported devices, timer behavior, notification behavior, ad behavior, or premium offerings.
We are not liable if the app is unavailable, interrupted, delayed, unable to deliver a timer notification, unable to recover a timer, or unable to provide a third-party service.
Disclaimer
Ritsu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free timer behavior, perfect notification delivery, exact background execution, compatibility with every device or operating system, continued availability of any third-party service, or preservation of every task, setting, statistic, or local data item.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, tasks, statistics, productivity, profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunities, device functionality, missed timers, missed reminders, or missed deadlines arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app will be limited to the amount you paid for the app or paid features in the 12 months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or paid features if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create legal or security risk, or if required by law, platform policy, or a third-party service provider.
Termination does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. Subscription cancellation must be handled through your app store account.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of the app after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
