At a Glance
- Ritsu is a Pomodoro timer, focus, task, and productivity app.
- Your tasks, timer settings, selected theme/audio/layout, language choice, local statistics, achievements, and timer recovery state are stored locally on your device.
- We do not operate a task-sync or productivity-data server, and we do not sell your task names, focus history, or local app data.
- The app uses third-party services for app distribution, purchases, ads, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and push notification delivery. Those services may process app, device, usage, purchase, advertising, notification, and diagnostic data as described below.
Information Processed on Your Device
Tasks and task pages
If you create tasks or task pages in Ritsu, the app stores task names, task page names, completion status, creation dates, completion dates, and related task organization data locally on your device.
We do not operate a task-sync server and we do not receive your task names or task page names unless you choose to send them to us, for example in a support request.
Timer sessions, focus statistics, and achievements
Ritsu stores local timer and productivity data on your device, including completed Pomodoro counts, total focus time, daily statistics, lifetime statistics, achievement unlock state, active timer recovery data, and related timer state.
This data is used to run the timer, recover active sessions, show statistics, show achievements, and keep the app working between launches.
Preferences and app state
Ritsu stores app preferences locally on your device, including focus duration, break duration, interval count, selected preset, timer direction, vibration setting, selected background/theme, selected audio, low power mode, countdown setting, layout choice, language choice, onboarding or setup state, paywall state, and similar settings.
Permissions
Ritsu may request permissions only when they are needed for app features:
- Notifications: to alert you when focus or break sessions end, and to show timer-related notifications.
- Vibration: to provide haptic or vibration feedback for timer events where supported.
- Exact alarms or scheduled alarms on Android: to help timer alerts fire at the expected time.
- Wake lock, foreground service, boot completed, battery optimization, and autostart-related permissions or settings on Android: to help long-running timers continue, recover, or notify you reliably while the app is in the background or after device/app restarts.
- App tracking transparency on iOS, where requested: to support personalized advertising choices where applicable.
You can change app permissions in your device settings at any time. If you deny a permission, the related timer, notification, or background behavior may be unavailable or less reliable.
Third-Party Services and Data Collection
Ritsu integrates third-party SDKs and platform services. These services are governed by their own privacy policies and may process data independently from us.

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google settings.
We do not send your task names, task page names, or local focus history to AdMob for ad targeting.

RevenueCat and app stores may process data such as app user identifiers, purchase tokens, transaction identifiers, product identifiers, entitlement status, subscription status, purchase dates, renewal status, refund status, and device/platform information. We do not receive your full payment card details.
